RRB Paramedical 2026 Photo & Document Size Guide

The RRB Paramedical Categories recruitment (CEN 05/2026) asks for six uploads: four JPG images and two PDF certificates. Each one has its own file-size window, and all of them have a minimum size as well as a maximum. That catches a lot of candidates out, because most compression tools only care about making files smaller. This guide lists every requirement and explains how to prepare each file so the portal accepts it the first time.

How do I prepare the RRB Paramedical photo?

The photo is specified in centimetres (3.5 x 4.5 cm), the standard passport ratio. In pixels, 350 x 450 px at 254 DPI prints at exactly that size, which is what the RRB Paramedical resizer produces. Use a recent colour photo with a plain light background and your face clearly visible.

1. Take the photo in daylight against a plain light wall, looking straight at the camera.
2. Upload it to the resizer; it is cropped to the 3.5 x 4.5 cm ratio with your face kept in frame.
3. Check that the final size is between 20 and 50 KB. The tool shows the exact KB on the result card.

Why must the signature be at least 30 KB?

A 140 x 60 px signature is tiny: a clean JPG of that size is usually only 3-8 KB, far below the 30 KB minimum. Many candidates respond by scanning at a huge size, which then breaks the 140 x 60 px rule. The right fix is to keep the exact pixel size and add harmless padding data inside the JPG so it reaches 30 KB without changing how it looks. • Sign in black ink on plain white paper, the way you normally sign.
• Crop tightly around the signature before uploading so it fills the 140 x 60 frame.
• Do not sign in capital letters unless that is your usual signature.

How do I make the left thumb and declaration files?

Press your left thumb once on an ink pad and then once on white paper; photograph it and resize to 240 x 240 px at 20-50 KB. For the handwritten declaration, copy the exact wording from the official notification in your own handwriting, in English, then photograph it flat and resize to 800 x 400 px at 50-100 KB. Make sure every word is still readable after resizing.

How do I upload the caste certificate and 10th certificate as PDF?

Both certificates must be PDFs: the caste certificate between 100 and 400 KB, and the 10th certificate between 100 and 500 KB. The caste certificate is only needed if you are applying in a reserved category.

• Already have a PDF? If it is over the limit (scanner apps often produce 2-5 MB), it is compressed page by page until it fits.
• Only have a phone photo? Upload the JPG or PNG and it is converted to an A4 PDF inside the KB range.
• PDF too small? A PDF under 100 KB is padded up to the minimum without changing what it shows.
