UPESSC Assistant Teacher 2026 Photo & Signature Size Guide

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has advertised 12,405 Assistant Teacher posts under Advertisement 05/2026: 11,508 in urban primary schools of the UP Basic Education Council and 897 Sambaddh Primary posts in aided schools. The notification is short on upload rules, but clause 2.7 is strict: an application will be rejected if the photo is not of the prescribed size or the signature is not clear. What does "pixel resolution 300 to 600" mean for the photo?

The notification only says the photo must be 30-300 KB with a "pixel resolution 300 to 600". It does not say whether that is the width and height in pixels or the DPI. The safe choice is to satisfy both: a photo of 413 x 531 px has both sides inside 300-600, and saved at 300 DPI it prints at exactly 3.5 x 4.5 cm, the standard passport size. 1. Take a recent colour photo in daylight against a plain light wall, looking straight at the camera.

How do I make the 140 x 110 px signature?

Clause 2.13 asks for the signature to be scanned on a white background and uploaded as JPG/JPEG at 140 x 110 px, between 10 and 200 KB. A clean 140 x 110 JPG is usually only 3-6 KB, which is below the 10 KB minimum. • Sign in black or dark blue ink on plain white, unlined paper.
• Crop tightly around the signature so it fills the 140 x 110 frame and stays readable.

How do I upload certificates as PDF (50-500 KB)?

Clause 2.14 says every certificate or record you upload must be a PDF between 50 and 500 KB. Upload only the documents the portal asks for; the caste/EWS and disability certificates are needed only if you claim those categories, and they must be on the UP government format (Appendix 1-5 of the notification).

• Already have a PDF? If it is over 500 KB (scanner apps often produce 2-5 MB), it is compressed page by page until it fits.
• Only have a phone photo? Upload the JPG or PNG and it is converted to an A4 PDF inside 50-500 KB.
• PDF too small? A PDF under 50 KB is padded up to the minimum without changing what it shows.
