Regional Rural Bank (IBPS RRB) applications ask for more than a photo and a signature. You also upload a left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration, and each has its own pixel size and file-size window. Getting even one wrong usually means the portal refuses the file. How do I prepare the IBPS RRB photo?

Use a recent colour photo with a plain light or white background, your face clearly visible and looking straight at the camera. Avoid caps, dark glasses and heavy shadows. A phone photo taken in daylight near a window works well; a flash photo usually creates harsh shadows behind the head.

1. Take the photo against a plain wall with even light on your face.
2. Open the Photo Resizer or the IBPS RRB page and add the image.
3. Crop so your head and shoulders fill the frame.
4. Choose the 200 x 230 px size and a target between 20 and 50 KB.
5. Download and check the file size in your file manager before uploading.

How do I make the signature file?

Sign with a black pen on plain white paper. Photograph or scan it in good light, crop tightly around the signature and resize to 140 x 60 px. The window is only 10-20 KB, so keep the paper clean: shadows and paper texture add bytes and make compression visible.

Sign the way you will sign on exam day and on your documents. A mismatch between the signature on the form and the one used later can cause problems at verification.

How do I create the left thumb impression file?

Press your left thumb on an ink pad, then press it once inside a small box on a blank white sheet. Use black or blue ink. Photograph the impression, crop it square and resize to 240 x 240 px at 20-50 KB.

• Do not smudge: press once, lift straight up.
• Use the left thumb unless the notification says otherwise.
• Keep the whole ridge pattern inside the frame.
• Try a second attempt on a fresh sheet rather than editing a smudged one.

How do I prepare the handwritten declaration?

The declaration is a short handwritten text, written in English with black ink on white paper. The exact wording is given in the official notification or on the application page, so copy it word for word. Write it in your own handwriting, not printed, and keep lines straight.

Scan or photograph it flat, crop to the text area and resize to 800 x 400 px in the 50-100 KB window. Text images compress well, but faint pen strokes can disappear at low quality, so check that every word remains readable after resizing.
